lobbying.jpgJoin Oil & Water Don't Mix, Clean Water Action, volunteers, and allies from across the state to tell our elected representatives to support the resolutions calling for the shutdown of Line 5 in the Straits of Mackinac!

For 64 years, the sunken hazard of Enbridge’s Line 5 pipeline has been lying at the bottom of the Straits of Mackinac- one of the most sensitive parts of the entire Great Lakes region.

On April 19th, from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM we will be gathering in Lansing to lobby our elected officials and tell them to stand with the people of Michigan and say no to the continued operation of this dangerous pipeline.

We will meet at Central United Methodist Church for training and strategy, and then move on to the Capitol.

If you’ve ever attended a citizens lobby day you know this is a fun event as well as an important opportunity to share your concerns about the threat to our Great Lakes from this dangerous oil pipeline.

We invite you to be one of the concerned citizens to meet with our legislators and to show them your support for shutting down Enbridge Line 5. Lobby training will be provided.

First-time lobbyists welcome - Lobby training will be provided! Breakfast and lunch provided too, with a suggested $10 contribution for lunch.

Registration closed on April 14. This event is at capacity. Thanks everyone for your interest.

We'll also be organizing carpools - visit this link to offer or ask for a ride to the event.
