JOIN US AT THE MACKINAC BRIDGE WALK

Join Oil & Water Don't Mix at the annual Labor Day Mackinac Bridge Walk across the Mackinac Bridge on Sept. 7, 2015, and help send a message to shut down Line 5 under the Straits of Mackinac.

Come enjoy the spectacular view from the Mackinac Bridge while sharing your passion for preserving this pristine, majestic place. Let’s tell Governor Snyder to protect the Mackinac Straits from the threat of a devastating oil spill.

tshirt_cap.jpgThis is the perfect opportunity to proudly wear an Oil & Water Don’t Mix T-shirt or Cap for sale now in our store. Show your support for our public campaign to eliminate the potential for an oil spill from the aging pipelines carrying nearly 23 million gallons of oil each day under the Straits of Mackinac.

Click here for details about the annual Labor Day Bridge Walk.

The walk begins at 7:00 a.m., and all walkers MUST start before 11:00 a.m., so arrive early!

The walk starts in St. Ignace and ends in Mackinaw City. There is no fee to walk, but there are shuttle buses that can bring you to the start or back to your car after the walk. There is a $5 fee for a bus ride. Bus tickets go on sale at 5:30 a.m. that morning, and buses start transporting walkers at that time.

Download a map of designated parking areas in bothbridge-map.jpg St. Ignace and Mackinaw City for bridge walkers.

Note that there are NO SIGNS OR BANNERS ALLOWED ON THE BRIDGE.
