The City of Traverse City is considering the passage of a resolution to shut down Line 5 in the Straits of Mackinac. Per the agenda of the City Commission meeting for Monday, Feb 1:
Consideration of a request from Mayor Jim Carruthers for the City Commission to adopt a resolution in support of House Resolution 182, requesting State of Michigan Officials shut down the Enbridge Pipeline, which transports oil underneath the Straits of Mackinac. (Mayor Jim Carruthers)
