Watch the Oil & Water Don't Mix video presentation about Enbridge Line 5 in the Straits of Mackinac with your group.
Revised January 2018
With so many requests from groups for a presentation on Line 5, we created this video to be able to reach more people than our volunteer presenters can handle. David Holtz, chair of the Michigan Sierra Club, and Liz Kirkwood, executive director of FLOW (For Love Of Water) bring you the slideshow presentation that has been shown around the state, and the video adds a few more riveting touches you won't want to miss. Our hope is that you become more informed about the threat the pipeline poses to the Great Lakes and answers all your questions, too.
This 32-minute video gives you a background on why Enbridge Line 5 poses a threat to the Great Lakes. It gives specific examples of why the company that owns and operates the pipeline cannot be trusted, and the standing that the State of Michigan has to shut down the pipeline.
This video can be shown to any group - all you need is a large screen or projector and an Internet connection. Church groups, Elks, Rotary, senior centers, book clubs, Chamber meetings, township meetings, house parties - all can participate! The presentation gives you all the information you need to know to take action to protect the lakes. If you have a large group and wish to have a Q&A session after the video, let us know and we'll do our best to find someone to answer your questions on-site.
If you need to download the video to your computer in advance of your meeting, or if you need a DVD, please let us know.
Download and print our brochure as a meeting handout!
Thank you for taking an active role in protecting the Great Lakes!
