Concerned citizens from all over Michigan will convene on the water in St. Ignace to demand Enbridge Line 5 be decommissioned permanently!
In 2020, the Michigan governor terminated Enbridge's permit to operate Line 5 through the Great Lakes, 70 tributaries throughout Michigan, and the SW Detroit Marathon refinery, which harms the community there every day.
Enbridge has fought the will of the people the whole way. They even tried to push the legal fight to the 6th District Federal Court in Ohio. Enbridge knew that the federal court system would always side with them. We all supported MI Attorney General Nessel, and the federal court agreed that the Line 5 fight should remain in the state court system.
The struggle to protect the Great Lakes continues and will take all of us! Please bring your kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards. We will also have some available.
This is the year to stand together and show Enbridge they ARE NOT WELCOME IN MI!
Oil & Water Don't Mix is proud to sponsor this year's event.
Please RSVP below and on the Facebook Event.
