Oil & Water Don't mix has organized a bus from Westland, MI, to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in Cincinnati, OH, to join AG Dana Nessel as she makes the case against Enbridge and for letting Michigan - not Canada - decide the fate of the Great Lakes. Your ticket includes food and drinks on the bus.
The court's ruling on Line 5 is not just about a pipeline but our right to safeguard our water, our land, and our communities. It's about who controls decisions that affect our lives. We can't let a Canadian corporation tell Michigan what to do.
Once in Cincinnati, we'll rally near the courthouse for AG Nessel's press conference at 12:15 PM to demonstrate our support and enter the courtroom for the hearing when possible. Posters/signs/shirts with slogans are not allowed in the building. A water ceremony at the Ohio River will follow. Read more about the reason for the hearing.
