Because this SHOULD NOT be a partisan issue. It’s common sense.

I think we need to act now to slow climate change. Fossil fuels need to stay in the ground while we create new jobs in renewable engery! No reason to put our Lakes in danger!!

It’s time to put the environment above corporate profits and commit to renewable energies.

The placement of this pipe in the Straits of Mackinac is just too risky.

I love our Great Lakes. It’s our drinking water! A spill would be catastrophic. These are the same people who messed up the Kalamazoo River. Line 5 is almost as old as I am, nothing lasts forever. So far we’ve been lucky.

My drinking water and livelihood as an artist who depends on tourist dollars is threatened. Is there a way I can use my water paintings to help? To see my work, go to https://www.pamkirkham.com and click on the TRANSITIONAL button to see water related pieces;.

Participate in the Day of Action for the Great Lakes to call for action to shut down Line 5. Building a tunnel for Line 5 is not a solution to protect the Great Lakes or the climate. https://www.oilandwaterdontmix.org/day_of_action_for_the_great_lakes?recruiter_id=50470

We don't get our precious waters back if we don't protect them. They will be lost, damaged for generations if not altered forever if we have an oil spill. I'm deeply worried that we will act too late.

I want the life-giving waters of the Great Lakes to be clean and unsullied by oil. The lakes are the jewel of Michigan, and the envy of the world. We must fight to protect them.

I have a sign in my yard, I attended the protest in Washington DC in February with the Sierra club's midnight ride from Michigan a few years ago.

Enbridge’s track record in Michigan with a major prior river spill shows the clear and present danger of this foreign company putting profit before environment.

Enbridge cannot be trusted to protect our most precious resource. Their first priority is their bottom line, which they have proved with their irresponsible actions repeatedly.

I grew up close to Lake St Clair and we have a summer place on Lake Michigan, but even without those two things, we’re deeply attached to the Lakes. We now live in Illinois, and this campaign should reach into northern Illinois, especially Chicago.
