I believe line 5 should be shut down because water is life! The Great Lakes are OUR waters, OUR GRANDKIDS WATERS! Not these big CORPORATIONS that put PROFITS BEFORE PEOPLE!

I grew up close to Lake St Clair and we have a summer place on Lake Michigan, but even without those two things, we’re deeply attached to the Lakes. We now live in Illinois, and this campaign should reach into northern Illinois, especially Chicago.

In a time of water wars and water uncertainty for much of the world, the state of Michigan is lucky enough to be surrounded by one-fifth of the world’s fresh surface water. It would be immoral as well as insanely stupid to jeopardize this heritage.

Citizens own the water, it is drinking water for millions of people. It needs to be protected. It is time to end our reliance on fossil fuels and this is how to begin to find another way.

I am tired of holding my breath over at 65 year old pipeline that could leak at any moment and destroy our water forever!

Participate in the Day of Action for the Great Lakes to call for action to shut down Line 5. Building a tunnel for Line 5 is not a solution to protect the Great Lakes or the climate.

The future of the Great Lakes is in jeopardy! We need to take action for our own health and we’ll being as well as future generations. Governor Witmer promised to shut the pipeline down immediately after being elected. What happened?

The Petroleum-chemical industry needs to be stopped. They do not obey either natural law or men's laws. The Lakes cannot be repaired, ever after they ruin them with an oil spill or the insane tunnel.

We can't count on the divided Democratic leadership to protect us from Enbridge. The citizens forced the leadership to take a stand, and now we must continue to hold the ground we have gained.
