Day of Action for the Great Lakes

This is one of the largest freshwater sources in the state, if not the country. It needs to be protected! Saying they can do the pipeline safely loses all credibility when testing cannot be completed. It makes one question their reporting on the state of the existing pipeline. Cease the operation entirely. They are called the GREAT LAKES for a reason. Let's protect them now.

As a lifelong conservationist, I know that it’s considerably cheaper and easier to prevent pollution than to clean it up. We need to act now to prevent this inevitable disaster.

Damage to the lakes.

We must turn this fossil-fuel ship around to renewables, other practical solutions such as conservation & taking profiteering out of energy production to supply the needs of people. The profits don't truly belong to CEOs or shareholders but the people, and less of the finite energy sources would be used, extracted and burned, if the profits didn't go to fund the lifestyles of the wealthy. Natural resources are a public trust & should not go to stupid rich people like Donald Trump at the price of human existance. Great wealth creates deviants like Jeffrey Epstein who are good for nobody.

Our Great Lakes are the most environmental gift. It is our responsibility to keep Chemicals out of our fresh water supply.

If one values something and it is being threatened, one must work to protect the valued item.

I have a granddaughter. That should be enough!

Line 5 threatens the Great Lakes. We must decommission it!

It will be Michigan’s worst environmental disaster waiting to happen at any moment. Maybe even the entire country! We need to stop it now before it’s too late. We will never recover from an oil spill of that magnitude nor clean up or reclaim what was once lost is lost forever! :(((

I grew up next to the Great Lakes I have a verh special personal relationship with Lake Michigan and think it is so awful that companies actually consider harming this beautiful body of water that most in the world are in awe about when I show them videos of this amazing body of water. We need to protect it at all costs.

Michigan has a rich history of caring for our environment and natural resources. Our precious Michigan water should be left pure and pristine for future generations. Let our legacy be that we did the right thing by "her". Please "Stop Line 5".

I have summered in Northern Michigan for years and truly understand while traveling the rest of the world, what a cherished treasure the Great Lakes are. I will be in Colorado where I live depending on the day and so would do things on line or phone calls

Protecting the Mitten is crucial!

Enbridge has a terrible track record of oil spills....remember the 2010 one in the Kalamazoo one.? This company is not transparent...This pipeline is 66 years old! It was only supposed to be used 50! When there is a spill in winter or at night the Coast Guard will not try to clean it up due to safety reasons. A spill could go as far as 700 miles! Enough is enough!
