Join Oil & Water Don't Mix for our monthly campaign call. On our campaign calls, we share updates from recent developments on the fight to shut down Line 5, as well as opportunities for you to get involved in the campaign. You'll be able to meet organizers and volunteers who are working together to shut down America's most dangerous pipeline.

On this month's call, we'll be joined by Bonnie Van Dam, who will be discussing oil spill impacts. Bonnie is a dedicated aviculturist with 30 years’ experience with the Detroit Zoo. She currently manages all aspects of the bird department for a wide variety of avian species; including overseeing breeding programs and supporting collaborative programs for AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquariums). Bonnie has been a part of the Detroit Zoo’s HAZWOPER (hazardous waste operations emergency response) since 2011. She spent three weeks in South Africa assisting with the Treasure oil spill in 2000 and worked with Zoo staff in 2010 to provide assistance with the Enbridge Line 6B oil spill.
