The fabulous Fresh Coast Film Festival in Marquette, MI, has scheduled Troubled Water, an exhilarating adventure conservation film, as its featured film on Friday, October 18. You are invited!
Troubled Water beckons viewers to follow along on a transformative journey down the stunning coast of Lake Michigan. Lifelong friends Chris Yahanda and William Wright embark on an epic 36-day, 425-mile standup paddleboard adventure along the Great Lakes and explore the manmade impacts of Michigan's freshwater, including the Enbridge Line 5 pipeline.
They examine the sheer significance of the Line 5 pipeline issue, the dire need for collective action to shut it down, and the historical precedent this movement would establish. If successfully shut down, it would become the first active pipeline in U.S. history to be terminated before it ruptures.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the film's director, Davis Huber, subjects Chris Yahanda and OWDM's Bill Latka.
Fresh Coast is a documentary film festival celebrating the outdoor lifestyle, water-rich environment, and resilient spirit of the Great Lakes and Upper Midwest. The festival spans four days and features 80+ films and endless inspiration.
RSVP below to let us know you'll be there. You'll then be redirected to the Fresh Coast Film Festival page to purchase tickets.
