BAD RIVER is a compelling new documentary about the Wisconsin-based Bad River Band and its ongoing fight for sovereignty. The Canadian corporation Enbridge and its Line 5 crude oil pipeline threaten the Great Lakes and the Band's way of life.
The film opens in 11 AMC theaters nationwide on March 15. Bay Mills Indian Community is hosting a FREE screening at Lake Superior State University and is encouraging the community to attend! The Enbridge occupation of Bad River Territory in Wisconsin is another chapter in the systemic oppression of Native Americans. This must-see film will help to change the narrative on how we deal with this Canadian corporation. Learn more about the film and other venues.
The story unfolds in a groundbreaking way through a series of shocking revelations, devastating losses, and a powerful legacy of defiance and resilience.
