Come on by to find out more about the threat posed by Enbridge Line 5 in the Straits of Mackinac. Participate in the Feel Good tap - a way to have a beer and donate to a nonprofit working on the Line 5 issue.
This is a great chance to ask questions and submit your comment calling for the decommission of Line 5.
The event is hosted by HopCat and benefits FLOW (For Love of Water) and the Oil & Water Don't Mix campaign.
Join us for a free and public viewing of Immiscible: The Fight Over Line 5, a new documentary featuring the debate over Enbridge Line 5.
Line 5 is a pair of 64-year old pipelines running through the Straits of Mackinac. Environmental experts studying the Great Lakes have confirmed an oil spill stemming from Line 5 has the potential to wreak havoc on the Great Lakes ecosystem, which provides drinking water to over 30 million people and is the largest source of surface freshwater in the Western Hemisphere.
Be sure to grab a pint of Brewery Vivant Tropical Saison. Throughout the month of July, $1 of every Tropical Saison sold will be donated to, FLOW for Water as part of our Feelgood Tap feature.
After the film, a panel of experts will discuss current updates within our state pertaining to Line 5, as well as how we can all take action to decommission the pipeline and protect our Great Lakes from a catastrophic oil spill.
