The Les Cheneaux Watershed Council is sponsoring a presentation by Dr. Ed Timm, PhD: "Enbridge Line 5: How Safe Is It?"

Dr. Timm, a retired chemical engineer from Dow Chemical, will discuss the design and condition of Enbridge Line 5 oil pipeline which runs the entire length of Michigan. Line 5 carries petroleum products from Canada and North Dakota to refineries south of Sarnia, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan. It traverses at least 45 Michigan waterways including the Straits of Mackinac between Lakes Huron and Michigan.
