Join Oil & Water Don't Mix supporters and others for a day of prayer and solidarity as we walk for the water.

We will walk clockwise on Riverbank Drive around the entire island of Belle Isle. The walk is about 5.5 miles (8.82km). We will be stopping at several points along the way to rest, offer spirit plates, pray, say a few words, and of course, use the restroom. We will meet at 9:00 AM at the Belle Isle Beach Parking Lot and start walking at 10:00 AM.

Afterward, we will meet for a potluck meal at Pavillion 12, so please bring a dish to pass as well. There are electrical outlets available on the island for food warmers, etc.

In honor of nibi (water) and Grandmother Water Walker, Grandma Jo, we will be carrying buckets of water with us on the walk. Please bring chairs, good walking shoes, and buckets (if you choose).
