April Campaign Briefing Information

Join Us April 14: What Enbridge didn’t want you to see… Breaking down the long-withheld Line 5 tunnel geotechnical report

Since our last campaign briefing, a lot has happened in the fight to shut down Line 5.

At our April Campaign Briefing, we'll dive into the damaging Geotechnical Baseline Report – a report Enbridge tried to keep hidden from regulators on the proposed tunnel project. Now that it’s finally in the public record, we’ve read it carefully (despite the redactions!) and will share the findings with you.

We’ll break down the report, which shows “weak to very weak” rock quality, pressures exceeding 250 pounds per square inch, and an uncontrolled source of explosive methane gas, among other things. Bottom line: what it reveals should concern everyone who cares about the Great Lakes.

We’ll also do a quick download on all the legal developments that have happened over the last month and a half, including Line 5’s day at the U.S. Supreme Court in February and at the Michigan Supreme Court in March.

While we wait on a decision from EGLE and for the courts to deliberate, the campaign to decommission America's Most Dangerous Pipeline continues. Come meet the organizing team and volunteers who are building the grassroots pressure needed to protect the Great Lakes. We'll show you concrete ways to amplify your impact and have a panel of experts on the call to answer all of your questions!

Please register for the call below. Zoom will email you with a link to join.
