Join Oil & Water Don't Mix for our July Campaign Briefing on Tuesday, July 14 at 7 p.m. EDT. We remain in "decision watch” mode, eagerly awaiting the big permitting decisions and the final ruling from the Michigan Supreme Court on two cases related to Enbridge’s proposed Line 5 oil tunnel in the Great Lakes.

While we wait to hear whether or not the Great Lakes will be turned into an industrialized construction zone, we have a troubling update to share on a recent spill caused by Enbridge in Wisconsin after a  frac-out. The Line 5 reroute construction, which just started weeks ago, is a cautionary tale of what’s to come if the tunnel project moves forward in the Straits of Mackinac.
