Join OWDM organizers for updates about the work to shut down the Line 5 oil pipeline. This time, we welcome the filmmakers who are on an epic 425-mile journey from Mackinac Island to Lansing via standup paddleboard as they create their new adventure film, Troubled Water. We are proud to support this effort.
William Wright, Chris Yahanda, and Davis Huber will join us for behind-the-scenes tales about their film that explores the economic, political, and environmental implications of human impact on Michigan’s fresh water.
The route is designed to show the beauty of the Great Lakes, highlight current environmental issues, and finish in the Great Lakes State capitol: the political epicenter with the power to protect our public waters. The Great Lakes have already seen irreparable damage, but some issues still hang in the balance and hope is still very much alive.
RSVP below to join us for this Live event (it will not be recorded for later viewing). Please allow about 15 minutes to receive your registration link by email from Zoom.
