Pipeline Secrecy Bill Endangers Public

House Bill 4540 would create an exemption in the Michigan Freedom of Information Act for oil and gas companies.

While our representatives in Lansing are saying that this bill would protect our energy infrastructure from terrorist attacks, the actual result of this bill will be protection for big oil. This bill will not remove the danger of terrorism, but it may put us in even greater danger of a pipeline rupture.
